Russia has said that journalist Gershkovich was caught trying to obtain military secrets during a trip to the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, but has provided no details to back up that claim. The Wall Street Journal also denies the allegations. But Moscow has said that in Gershkovich's case there can be no exchange until a sentence is handed down. So far no date has been set for his trial.
